The customer portal

What your customers see after booking β€” their portal for viewing bookings, invoices, documents, and profile.

What is the customer portal?

The customer portal is the self-service area on your storefront where customers can view their bookings, download documents, check invoices, and manage their profile. It's accessed at:

Customers need to sign in with their Fjellride account to access the portal. If they booked as a guest (without an account), they won't have portal access unless they create an account with the same email.

Portal sections

Dashboard

The portal home shows a quick overview:

  • Total bookings β€” lifetime booking count
  • Upcoming bookings β€” reservations with future dates
  • Invoices β€” total invoice count
  • Total spent β€” sum of all invoice amounts
  • Recent bookings β€” the latest reservations with current status

My bookings

A list of all the customer's bookings, showing:

  • Booking reference number
  • Status (Concept, Reserved, Picked Up, Returned, etc.)
  • Dates and locations
  • Products booked

Customers can click any booking to see its full details β€” products, pricing, dates, and locations.

Invoices and receipts

Customers can view their Stripe invoices and download receipts for their records. This pulls directly from Stripe, so it reflects all payments processed through your storefront.

Profile

Customers can view and update their personal information:

  • Name
  • Email
  • Phone number
  • Notes

Documents

If you've generated documents for a customer's booking (contracts, packing slips, etc.), they can view them through the portal. Documents are rendered as HTML and can be printed or saved.

What customers cannot do

The portal is read-only for booking management. Customers cannot:

  • Change booking dates or products
  • Cancel or modify their own booking
  • Change their booking status
  • Process refunds

All modifications are handled by your team through the operator dashboard.

How customers access the portal

Customers reach the portal in two ways:

  1. Direct URL β€” navigate to your storefront and click the portal/account link
  2. Email links β€” booking confirmation and status update emails can include a link to view their booking in the portal

Authentication

Customers sign in with their Fjellride account (email + password). The portal uses session-based authentication with your storefront's organization context β€” customers only see bookings from your organization.
