Using tags

How to create tags, apply them to bookings and products, and use them for filtering and organization.

What are tags?

Tags are customizable labels you can attach to records in Fjellride. They help you organize, filter, and categorize your data in ways that make sense for your business.

What can be tagged

You can attach tags to:

  • Bookings β€” e.g. "VIP", "group-booking", "corporate"
  • Products β€” e.g. "summer", "premium", "new"
  • Inventory items β€” e.g. "needs-repair", "new-unit"
  • Locations β€” e.g. "high-traffic", "seasonal"
  • Customers β€” e.g. "returning", "wholesale"

Creating tags

  1. Go to Settings β†’ Tags
  2. Click Create Tag
  3. Fill in:
    • Name (required, 1–50 characters)
    • Color (optional, hex code like #3B82F6)
    • Description (optional)
    • Category (optional β€” group related tags together)

Tags are shared across your organization. Once created, any team member can attach them to records.

Attaching tags

On bookings

When creating or editing a booking, you can add tags in the tags field. Type to search existing tags or select from the list.

On products

Open a product and add tags in the product detail view.

Bulk tagging

Select multiple records from a list view and apply or remove tags in bulk.

Using tags for filtering

Tags become powerful when combined with filtering:

  • Bookings list β€” filter by tag to see only bookings with a specific label
  • Product list β€” find products by tag
  • Dashboard β€” use tags to segment your view

Tag colors

Assign colors to tags for quick visual identification. Colors appear as small badges next to the tag name in lists and detail views.

Use a consistent color scheme:

  • Blue for customer segments
  • Green for status indicators
  • Yellow for special handling
  • Purple for categories
